Social Committee

The social committee consists of 5-6 junior researchers and organizes activities for the entire department since social engagement is a key factor for being an inclusive department. This way, colleagues can get to know each other outside of their working environment of Erasmus MC. Last two years we have organized several diverse activities focusing on cultural, active, and social events, usually attracting a group of 15-30 people. In 2022 we went for a guided tour at the Depot of Boijmans Van Beuningen, enjoyed a Beer and Cheese tasting with local products, and explored the Kralingse plas on SUP-boards and canoes. In 2023 we started the year with a creative Bob Ross painting workshop. Then we boogied on our roller skates at the Skate Fever roller disco, started the summer with drinks at a sunny terrace, and we improved our cooking skills in a vegan cooking workshop at Erasmus Food Lab. Both years we ended the year with festive holiday drinks and a vegetarian Christmas lunch with the whole department, including a fun Christmas sweater competition.
